PTI-IMF budget to bring miseries on people: Cabinet members

KARACHI:Sindh Cabinet members Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani, Makhdoom Mehboobur Rehman and Barrister Murtaza Wahab have termed the federal government budget another failure of PTI rulers and said that it was aimed to crush common men of the country who were already facing the hardships due to policies of incompetent government of selected Prime Minister.

Addressing a press conference at Sindh Assembly media corner on Wednesday, they rejected the PTI-IMF budget adding that it will add the miseries of already inflation striken people of Pakistan. Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that it was anti people budget and prices of all essential commodities which will strike hard at all segments of society particularly working class and added that no relief or subsidy was provided in the budget to nation. He said that it was an IMF dictated budget. Now tax has been imposed on the fifty thousand rupees income.

He said that Pakistan Peoples Party had decided to stand with people adding they would take to streets to defend interests of common men. The Provincial Advisor added that failed policies of PTI rulers had compelled people to come to streets.

Wahab critised prime minister’s Tuesday night address to the nation and added that it was like his (Imran’s) container speech. He said that worthy architect of Naya Pakistan didn’t know how to address the nation as a prime minister, then how could he run the affairs of diverse country like Pakistan.

He made it clear that PPP requires no NRO. He said that ‘our selected prime minister’ had repeatedly remarked in his midnight speech that he would not give NRO to anyone while on other hand, he himself had discovered NRO for Haleema Baji.

He said that selected prime minister had announced to form dangerous commission under him. He said: “Prime Minister! You were trembling while addressing the nation, how can you head the investigation commission.” He advised prime minister to start probe from 1999 and investigate the ten months tenure of PTI government who had destroyed the economy of country.

He warned PTI government that people would take to streets for safeguarding their rights. To a question, he said that Pakistan People’s Party had faced dictators and jails. They were not afraid of these tactics of puppet PTI government. He said that PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari would prove his innocence through course of law. His arrest was merely to pressurise him on key issues like NFC issue and 18th amendment, the advisor said.
