Rally staged against artificial electricity shortage

NASIRABAD: Qaumi Awami Tehreek (QAT) on Saturday took out a rally from Syed Muhalla in the town and staged a sit-in outside gird station against artificial electricity shortage and cutting of connections.

A group of QAT activists, led by advocate Inayat Tunio, Zameer Mugheri, Babar Jalbani and Asad Tunio, took out the rally that marched different areas of city. The protesters also held a sit-in.

The protestors shouted slogans against the injustices of sub-divisional officer of Sukkur Electric Power Company (Sepco). The leaders said that their movement would be continued against the SDO who is enemy of the city.

They said SDO was cutting the connections of citizens without any reason and also threatening them that First Investigation Report (FIR) would be registered against them.

They said that unlawful load-shedding was being carried out for continuous 18 hours. The protesters demanded immediate removal of SDO.
