Ranger arrest three suspects including two extortionists

KARACHI:Sindh Rangers on Thursday claimed to have apprehended three criminals, including two suspected extortionists, from different areas of the metropolis.

According to rangers’ spokesman, the paramilitary soldiers carried out targeted raids in Garden and Nabi Bux areas and apprehended two suspected extortionists, Usama alias Chato and Shoaib Ali affiliated with Lyari gang war groups.

The spokesman said that the arrested suspect involved in extortion from different areas of the city. Separately, a rangers team detained a street criminal, Saleh Muhammad from Memon Goth.

Rangers claimed that weapons, drugs and looted goods were also recovered from the possession of detainees.

Moreover, rangers and police along with Irrigation Department on Thursday conducted various operations against water theft in interior Sindh. During the operations in Hyderabad branch canal and Matyari canal around nine illegal water connections were disconnected and FIRs registered against seven suspects for their alleged involvement in water theft.

The area peasants appreciated rangers and police operations against water theft.
