Karachi:A reception in the honor of Information Technology (IT) expert Syed Mudassir Zaidi was held in Arts Council with the efforts of Press and Publication Committee in collaboration with Sukkurian Forum.
“There was a need of immense resources for upgrading government departments with I.T system but Mudassir Zaidi made various apps and software for government without any remunerations”, stated by Chairman Press and Publications Committee Basheer Khan Saddozai. He added saying, “Police For You; an app for Sindh Police and the upgrade in CCTV command and control system was also the works of Mudassir which will benefit public in a broader way”.
People can now report any incident within few seconds with the help of Police App. The attendees who were from public and private sector were astonished after hearing the services by young I.T expert from Sukkur. Other speakers said that these apps will help in the information regarding functionality of government departments. On a lighter note, they were of the view that the schedule of trains has always been criticized but since it has been digitalized, it will enable public to avail other services as well. Mudassir has not only prepared apps and software for the government but has provided voluntarily assistance to several projects.
Syed Mudassir Zaidi thanked President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah and others for arranging this reception. He said that I desire to make an I.T System which will cater the needs of public in the manner that they will not have to make queues anywhere; an online services portal. He further said that this system will bring transparency in government departments and public will also take advantage.
