Rulers insensitive to pain of Saima Jarwar: Haleem Adil

Karachi/ Larkana: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Sindh leader Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that the rulers of Sindh are insensitive to the pain and anguish of the parents of rape-murder victim Saima Jarwar of Larkana.

According to details, PTI Chairman Imran Khan took a serious notice of the rape-murder of nine-year-old Saima Jarwar in Larkana and sent a party delegation led by PTI Sindh chapter executive vice president Haleem Adil Sheikh to meet the parents and raise voice for doling them out justice.

Haleem Adil Sheikh and other PTI leaders visited the house of the victim and offered condolence with the father of Saima, Naseem Jarwar and other relatives and assured them of full cooperation on behalf for the PTI till justice is doled out to them.

On the occasion, the relatives of the victim told Haleem Adil that doctors due to pressure on them issued a wrong postmortem report to weaken their case, deliberately. They claimed that the PPP leaders had sent them two Lakh rupees for not going for protest, but they returned this money back to them. They said they were told that the culprits would be arrested but so far the bereaved family is awaiting justice. They said their minor girl was murdered after rape but the rulers are unmoved.

Haleem Adil told media that PTI leader Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi also talked to the relatives of the slain girl and offered condolence. He assured them that all-out efforts would be taken so that the heirs get justice.

Haleem said those chanting slogans of “Bhutto is alive” have forgotten the people of Larkana. He said not any minister or advisor has so far called on the parents, even to offer condolence. He said it is irony that Saima was also a daughter of Larkana like Benazir Bhutto. He said the people would not forget the insensitiveness of the rulers and lethargy of police.

He said the Sindh government has failed to give protection to children and the cases of crimes against children are rising in the province. He said we are very much concerned over this grave situation. He said the people belonging to the ruling party sent rupees two Lakh to the bereaved family to keep their mouth shut, but the proud parents rejected it. He said the parents only want justice.

He said that top PPP rulers frequently visit Larkana but they have as yet not meet the bereaved family. He said the people would reject such insensitive rulers in the coming general elections. He said justice should be doled out to all victims irrespective of that they are rich or poor. He said we fully share the pain of the parents of Saima Jarwar and raise a strong voice for them on every available forum. He said we will not sit idle till their heirs get justice.
