Sabika Sheikh’s funeral prayers offered in Karachi

KARACHI: Funeral prayers for Sabika Sheikh, the Pakistani exchange student who was killed in Texas high school shooting on Friday, were offered at Hakeem Saeed Ground in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Wednesday.

Consul General United States to Karachi, family members, friends, relatives were present at the airport to receive the body of Karachi teenager which was brought by an international flight TK 708.

The funeral prayer was attended by Governor Sindh, Mohammad Zubair, Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah, PSP chief Mustafa Kamal, PPP leader Saeed Ghani and a large number of citizens.

Special arrangements were made for the funeral security personnel were deployed at the buildings surrounding the ground. She will be laid to rest at Azeempura graveyard in Shah Faisal Colony.
