KARACHI:Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday commuted death sentence into life imprisonment of a convicted accused in a double murder case.
A bench of SHC heard an appeal moved by Murshid Ali against the death sentence awarded to him by a local court in double murder case.
The court announced its judgment by commuting his death sentence into life term.
In 2014, the accused had stabbed to death his wife Mehnaz and her sister-in-law Shaheena.
The case was registered against him at Iqbal Market Police Station. Later, the local court had awarded death sentence along with fine of Rs0.5 million.
