SHC grants bail to PPP MPA, Minister

KARACHI:The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday granted bail to Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Abdul Razzak Raja in corruption practices in Malir Development Authority (MDA).

The court heard the bail plea filed by Raja in MDA corruption case and it granted him bail against the surety of Rs1 million.

Raja stated that he was given notice by NAB in connection with the MDA affairs and he has submitted his reply but due to current political situation he is afraid of his potential arrest.

However, another PPP leader and Provincial Minister for Environment and Climate Change Taimur Talpur also approached SHC for seeking bail against a call up notice by NAB.

The court granted him bail against Rs0.5 million till 29th March.
