SHC moved against shortage of judges in sessions’ courts

KARACHI:A petition pertaining to shortage of judges and lack of facilities in sessions’ courts was filed in Sindh High Court (SHC).

The petition was moved by a citizen Syed Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi.

The petitioner stated that there were many vacant seats of judges in sessions and special courts in Sindh.

He stated that people were facing difficulties due to shortage of judges in these courts.

The petitioner also informed the Sindh High Court about to the lack of facilities in lower courts. Sindh government and its relevant departments have failed to perform their responsibilities, the petition states.

Petitioner prayed the court that order might be issued pertaining to increase number of judges in sessions and special courts.

Chief Secretary Sindh and Secretary of Law ministry have been named as respondents in petition.
