KARACHI:Six workers, who were injured after a boiler exploded in a Karachi’s Landhi factory, succumbed to their injuries at the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) on late Wednesday night.
According to sources, seven labourers had received severe wounds following the incident at a private factory located near Manzil Pump area in Landhi, who were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment. Hospital sources said six out of seven injured workers identified as Amir, Saleem, Shadman, Imran, Khalid and Inayat succumbed to their wounds late Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur said according to initial investigations, the blast took place because of an increase in gas pressure in one of the furnaces.
