Six people injured in separate firing incidents

KARACHI:At least six people were shot and injured in firing incidents reported in different parts of the metropolis in the wee hours of Friday.

According to rescue sources, a 48-year-old man, Momin Khan, son of Samandar Khan and a 28-year-old Abdul Wahid were shot and injured by unknown armed men near Al-Asif Square. They were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment, where their condition was stated to be serious.

Separately, two cousins indentified as Arbaz and Afaq were shot and injured by robbers during robbery incident under Quaidabad Bridge. They were rushed to JPMC for treatment.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old man, Mir Hussan sustained bullet injuries when his gun accidently went off inside a building in Gora Qabristan area. He was brought to JPMC for treatment.

A Lyari gang war accused indentified as Sheraz son of Islaaf, was injured in a police encounter in Lyari’s Nawa Lane. The injured was taken to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
