Karachi: Leisure Leagues Corporate League, featuring eight football teams representing corporate entities, has exploded into action at Total Football Ground in Islamabad.
The eight teams playing in the league are PwC, AF Ferguson, KPMG, Teradata, SandP Global, Discretelogix, Eikon 7 and Wonderworks.
In the first round of matches, SandP Global defeated PwC 2-1; Teradata hammered Discretelogix 3-0; Wonderworks and KPMG match ended in a 3-3 draw.
The second round of the league saw SandP Global beat Eikon 7 by 3-2, Teradata defeated PwC; while Wonderworks overpowered Discretelogix.
Speaking on the eve of the event, Chairman World Group, which is the parent company of Leisure Leagues, Mehmood Trunkwala said that it was essential for corporate entities to be part of the endeavors of the Leisure Leagues, which wants to revolutionize football in the country.
“It is important for corporate entities to join hands with Leisure Leagues in a bid to strengthen Leisure Leagues in its effort to promote and revolutionize football in the country,” he emphasized.
The Corporate League’s first season will resume after Eid-ul-Adha holidays.
