Karachi:Army and WAPDA have secured berths in the final of 14th Softball National Championship underway at Government Girls Degree College in Quetta.
Meanwhile, Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa teams will clash in the third place play-off.
In matches played on Saturday, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa defeated Balochistan by two runs. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa scored 18 runs in five innings. Hina Farooq was the top scorer for the side with four runs. In response, Balochistan scored 16 runs.
Punjab defeated Sindh by 10 runs. Punjab scored 19 runs in its five innings. Aqsa, Saba, Kiran and Rabia scored three runs each for the side. Sindh teams scored only nine runs in its five innings.
Meanwhile, WAPDA thrashed Balochistan by 15-0 score. Madiha Junior remained top scorer for the side with three runs.
