STP holds rally against lack of basic facilities

Nawabshah: Sindh Taraqi Pasand (STP) held a rally on Friday under the leadership of their Vice Chairman Dr. Abdul Hameed Memon and Secretary General Engr. Gulzar Soomro here against not declaring Sindhi as a national language.

STP leaders said on the occasion that under a conspiracy aliens are issued national identity cards. They said many educational institutes do not teach Sindhi as a subject, especially in Karachi despite instructions issued by Sindh Education Minister Nisar Khuhro.

They said that Sindh generates huge revenue for the federation but poverty is increasing here and children are dying due to malnutrition.

They said that people of Sindh are deprived of clean drinking water and according to Water Commission report, 80 percent of Sindh drinks contaminated water which is dangerous for health and Hepatitis and other waterborne diseases are on the rise due to this.

They criticized the ruling PPP and demanded to give clean water to people for drinking. They asked give ownership to Sindh for its mineral resources, declare Sindhi as a national language and not to issue national identity cards to illegal immigrants and deport them.
