SUKKUR:A heavy contingent of police launched an operation against bandits in Shah Belo, a kacha area in Sukkur district and got released an abductee.
A large contingent of police reached the site of the operation and began a search for the bandits. The police team, led by SSP Sukkur Irfan Ali Samon, during operation torched the hideouts of bandits and got freed Mehboob Shaikh, who was abducted six days back while on his way to home within the Abad police station. However, the bandits managed to flee.
The police handed over the released man to his heirs who hailed the police action. Shah Belo is a thick forest of Sindh, where bandits have several hideouts. However, many hideouts have been reduced by cutting and torching forest.
