SUP takes out rally in Larkana for arrest of accused

LARKANA:The activists of Sindh United Party (SUP) took out a rally Friday, demanding arrest of accused involved in the murder of Qaimuddin Sarki in Thul three months ago.

The rally was also joined by other like-minded political and non-political parties which started from Civil Hospital road and reached DIGP office where the participants staged a sit-in. While addressing the participants, their central leader Syed Zain Shah said that SUP leader in Thul, Qaimuddin Sarki, was gunned down for refusing to pay extortion money, but it was more tragic that even after the passage of three long months nominated accused had not yet been arrested and brought to justice which proved that police had failed to discharge their legal and moral duties and were working under influence of political people.

He alleged that DSP Thul had obtained huge illegal gratification from the accused due to which he was reluctant to take action against them which was highly condemnable act. He demanded his immediate removal. Later Syed Zain Shah and others met DIGP Irfan Baloch and urged him to replace DSP Thul with an honest and hard working officer.

Baloch told them that he had already written a letter to Additional IGP Sukkur and hoped that within next 2-3 days, DSP would be transferred. DIGP further told them that teams had also been formed to arrest all accused involved in the murder who had demolished houses of the accused.

Baloch said that no murderer or extortionist would be tolerated. He also assured the heirs of the deceased for provision of protection to them. Dr. Mazhar Mughal, Mahmood Bhutto, Irfan Chandio, Qazi Hamid Hussain, Vishal Malani and others were also present and participated in the rally.
