Three killed, several injured as two trains collide near Hyderabad

HYDERABAD:Three people were killed and several others injured when a passenger train hit a goods train near Hyderabad on Thursday.

The Jinnah Express train was on its way to Lahore from Karachi when it hit a parked goods train near Hyderabad. As a result, three people were killed and several others injured. Three bogies of the goods train derailed.

A heavy contingent of Rangers, rescue and police rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to Liaquat University Hospital Hyderabad for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has expressed shock over the accident and ordered all special treatment facilities to the injured at the hospital.
