Two cops martyred in armed attack on DSP’s vehicle in Quetta

QUETTA: Two police cops were martyred in an armed attack at the vehicle of Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Hameedullah Dasti on Samungli Road of Quetta on Wednesday.

According to police source, three unidentified armed men raiding a motorbike opened fire at the vehicle of Divisional Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hameedullah Dasti. As a result, two cops, Muhammad Tahir and Ayub Shah suffered severe bullet injuries and died on the spot. A child was also injured during the attack.

Dasti was on his way to office from his residence and remained save in the attack as he was travelling in the bulletproof vehicle.

Soon after the incident the police and law enforcement agencies have started search operation in the area to trace the culprits.

The bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for autopsies and treatment, respectively.
