Updated news-1: Earthquake hits Pakistan; minor girl killed, nine injured

ISLAMABAD: An earthquake with 6.2 magnitude hit many parts of Pakistan including Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Bella and Azad Kashmir, killing a minor girl and injuring nine people.

In Balochistan’s Bela town, a minor girl was killed and nine others injured when the roofs of some houses collapsed due to the earthquake.

The people in Islamabad and other cities came out of their houses in fear. The magnitude of the earthquake was stated to be 6.2 on Richter scale. Aftershocks were also felt in some areas of the country. The epicentre of the earthquake was in Koh-e-Hindu Kachh in Afghanistan.
