ISLAMABAD:A meeting of Implementation Committee on Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dams was held in Lahore with Chairman Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Retd) Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain in the chair.
The meeting reviewed progress on both projects and expressed satisfaction over it. Later, detailed presentation was given on the progress achieved on Mohmand and Diamer-Bhasha Dams.
The meeting was informed that the procedure for procurement of civil and electro-mechanical works for Mohmand Dam Hydropower Project is continuing.
It was informed that preliminary work by WAPDA has already commenced while the contractor is likely to mobilize in March.
The meeting was further informed that the procurement of consultancy services for Mohmand Dam is also in process and expected to be completed next month.
