Wrong injection disables boy in Karachi

KARACHI:A 12-year-old boy was disabled after being given wrong injection in a private hospital of Ladhi area of Karachi.

Muhammad Rehan, the father of affected boy Humza, told media that they shifted Humza with fever and body ache to a private hospital at Labour Square in Landhi area where he was given an injection by doctors that turned his condition worst.

He informed that his son’s hand turned black as doctors administrated a wrong injection to him during the treatment after which they brought Humza to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Accident Emergency and Trauma Centre for treatment where doctors cut his right hand after surgery due to spread of poison.

The doctors performed five surgeries to save his life after which he was shifted to the ward from Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
