MITHI:Local people in Tharparkar caught several hunters who hunted down 10 rare deer Tharparkar desert near Mithi city and handed them over to the Sindh Wildlife authorities on Tuesday.
Local people also staged a sit-in protest at Kashmir Chowk in Mithi city of Tharparkar, demanding stern action against illegal hunters causing damage to the local wildlife.
The protesters urged authorities to take action against officers involved in this menace of hunting heers, who had an underhand agreement with the illegal hunters and thus they sneaked in into the Mithi area for hunting purposes.
The protesting people said they would not end the sit-in till FIRs would not be lodged against hunters. People in Mithi said that this illegal hunting should be stopped once and for all.
