RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Friday seized 10kg of heroin from a car during search near Chakri Interchange, Rawalpindi.

The ANF arrested two suspects identified as Ishraq Ali and Syed Gul. A case was registered against both of them under the anti-narcotics act. “Further investigations against the accused have been initiated,” the ANF spokesperson said.

On the other hand, the Airport Security Force (ASF) seized 1048 grams of ice drug and 192 grams of brown heroin from a Sharjah-bound passenger at Faisalabad Airport. “The accused, identified as Muhammad Akhtar, had skillfully hidden the heroin in the bottom of his bag,” the ASF officials said.

“However, the ASF personnel foiled the smuggling bid by seizing the drugs during search,” they added. The accused was later handed over to the ANF authorities for further legal action after preliminary investigation by the ASF.
