New Delhi, November 14, 2021 (PPI-OT):A Sikh delegation has met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asked him to reopen the Kartarpur corridor to ensure pilgrimage to the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara in Pakistan. The 11-member delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders from Punjab, occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday at his official residence in New Delhi.

The pilgrimate was suspended in March 2020 when international travel was suspended owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Sikh leaders demanded the reopening of Kartarpur Corridor before Gurpurab which marks the birth anniversary of ‘Guru Nanak Dev’. It will be celebrated on November 19 this year.
