Sheikhupura:Thirteen people, including women and children, were killed and 16 others injured in a collision between a van and a bus in Narang Mandi on the Narowal Road near Sheikhupura on Monday.
According to Rescues sources, a fast-moving van collided with a bus on the Narowal Road near Sheikhupura following which fire erupted due to explosion in van’s gas cylinder after which both vehicles caught fire. As a result, 13 people, including women and children, were killed and 17 others injured.
The cause behind the accident was stated to be fog. Death toll is feared to rise as most of the injured are stated to be in critical condition. Firefighters doused the fire after hectic efforts.
The bodies and injured were shifted to a Sheikhupura hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively. Seriously injured moved to the Mayo Hospital Lahore.
