This initiative, a collaboration between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), UN-Habitat, UNDP, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department, has significantly enhanced the province’s educational infrastructure.

Under this project, 150 educational institutions across eight districts have been reconstructed to meet modern disaster-resilient standards, directly benefiting over 31,000 students, including 13,000 girls. Furthermore, the project also included the rehabilitation of 300 water and sanitation facilities.
