2 traffic accidents in Jhang, one person killed, 3 injured

One person was killed and three others were injured in two separate road accidents in Jhang district on Wednesday, with officials citing speeding and negligence as the primary causes of these incidents.

The first collision occurred near Jamia Masjid Noor on Shaheed Road, involving two speeding motorcyclists. Rescue 1122 personnel promptly arrived at the scene and, after providing first aid to the three injured individuals on-site, shifted them to DHQ Hospital Jhang for further treatment.

The injured have been identified as 22-year-old Muhammad Wasim son of Abdul Rasheed, 25-year-old Syed Shahroz Hussain son of Syed Munawar Hussain, and 18-year-old Muhammad Hasnain son of Muhammad Zafar.

In a separate tragic incident, a speeding truck hit and killed a pedestrian at Madhani Jutt on Faisalabad Road. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled the scene. The deceased, who could not be identified and is said to be around 40 years old, died on the spot due to a severe head injury. His body was later shifted to DHQ Hospital by the Rescue 1122 team.

Authorities have launched formal investigations into both accidents. Following these incidents, local residents have expressed concern and demanded strict enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such tragedies in the future.
