Pakistan has been elected as Vice-Chair of the General Assembly of State Parties to the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
A report issued by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Headquarters in Paris said today Pakistan remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding and promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage.
It further stated that Pakistan will actively contribute to multinational inscriptions and preservation efforts for cultural expressions reflecting its rich and diverse heritage.
Pakistan will also continue to working closely with member states to advance international cooperation for the protection and transmission of living heritage for future generations.
