Minister: (Imran Khan saved Rs 2,344 billion of poor people in two years: Info Minister)

Islamabad: Minister for information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has said Prime Minister Imran Khan has so far saved Rs2344 billion of the poor people through his strategy and efforts in two years.

In a tweet on Sunday, he said this amount is more than the three year developmental budget of Pakistan. He said the amount includes Reko Diq Rs1100 billion, Karkay Rs240 billion, Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC) Rs400 billion and IPPs Rs604 billion.

Minister: (Pakistan pursuing effective diplomacy to expose India’s nefarious designs: Gandapur)

Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has effectively highlighted the Kashmir issue at international level and expressed the hope that the dispute would be resolved under his dynamic leadership.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the Prime Minister is playing a role as Kashmir’s ambassador and exposing Indian atrocities and massive human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Ali Amin Gandapur said Pakistan is pursuing effective diplomacy to expose India’s nefarious designs in the region at the international front and taking corrective measures which are in line with the international laws and norms to resolve the Kashmir dispute. He said Pakistan is committed to continue supporting Kashmiri brethren in their struggle of freedom as peace in the region is linked with peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

He said Kashmiri people celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with Pakistani people on August 14, but they observed Indian Independence day as Black Day. The Minister urged the United Nations to play its due role for resolving long lasting Kashmir issue as per its resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

NLCC: (Anti-locust operations carried out in Balochistan, Sindh: NLCC)

Islamabad: The joint teams of National Locust Control Center (NLCC) continued locust control operations in more than 1200 hectares of land in Balochistan and Sindh during the last 24 hours.

According to NLCC, these operations were carried out on 100 hectares of district Lasbella of Balochistan and 1100 hectares of land in district Tharparkar of Sindh.

No presence of Locust has been recorded in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Similarly, more than two hundred and fifty six thousand hectares of area has been surveyed during the last twenty four hours.

In last 6 months, control operation has been carried out on more than eleven hundred thousand hectares of affected land. Migration of locust is expected from Rajasthan in India towards central and southern Punjab and also towards central Sindh.

NCOC: (Coronavirus situation is improving in Pakistan)

Islamabad: Covid-19 situation is improving in the country as the total number of recovered persons from the virus has now reached 266,301.

According to the latest statistics of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), there are now 16,248 active cases in the country.

As many as 670 people were tested positive and 6 lost their lives due to the virus over the last twenty-four hours, whereas 24,022 tests were carried out during this period.
