25% share from gas royalty demanded for Balochistan

QUETTA:Raees Meher Din Marri, Chairman, All Pakistan Marri Ittehad has called on authorities that at least 25 percent share in the head of gas royalty be allocated to Balochistan province and major share of the allocated gas royalty be spent for the uplift of Kohlu and for the welfare of the people of District Kohlu of Balochistan province.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Thursday, he said that it was a good omen that many reservoir of natural gas had been explored in different areas of District Kohlu, adding that the royalty of gas be utilized for the welfare of the people of District Kohlu. He added that about 300 families of Marri tribe had migrated from Kohlu and settled in New Kahan Marri Camp in Quetta.

He called on authorities to provide security to the Marri tribes men settled in New Kahan Marri Camp, Quetta and the land of New Kahan Marri Camp, Quetta be allotted in the names of people belonging to Marri tribe. On the occasion, Mir Shafqat Hussain Marri, Central President, All Pakistan Marri Ittehad, Central Vice President, Mir Mureed Marri and others were also present.
