In an important meeting held today at the Sindh Secretariat, Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo emphasized the need for immediate and transparent completion of ongoing infrastructure projects under the Sindh Industrial Trading Estate (SITE).
Secretary Industry and Commerce Shadia Jafar, SITE Chief Fawad Ahmed Shah, and other officials attended the meeting, which reviewed the current progress of development projects being funded under the Public Sector Development Program.
Secretary Shadia Jafar provided a detailed briefing on the construction of 28 roads, which are being prepared at an estimated cost of 5 billion rupees. She explained that these roads span a total distance of 22 kilometers.
According to Jafar, approximately 18 kilometers of the planned roads have already been completed, and efforts are ongoing to complete the remaining sections. The Secretary expressed hope that the entire project would be completed by August.
Minister Jam Ikramullah Dharejo emphasized the importance of executing all projects with transparency and speed. He warned that legal action would be taken against individuals neglecting their responsibilities in this regard.
This joint effort for infrastructure development is seen as a significant step towards improving transport connectivity within industrial areas, which could potentially enhance economic activities and commercial operations across the region.
