LARKANA:As many as 350 stray dogs were killed by local municipal authorities in the entire Larkana taluka during one week, PPI learnt Tuesday.
Assistant Commissioner, Larkana, Ahmed Ali Soomro, told PPI 25 dogs were killed in Garello by town committee authorities, five in Areeja and 10 in suburban areas.
Despite a campaign launched on the directives of Sindh High Court, two people were bitten by stray dogs in Naundero which include a cop and number of dog-bite cases is constantly rising at the Treatment Centre established at Chandka Medical College Hospital which proves that the drive is continuing on slow pace which need to be accelerated across the district.
The residents have demanded strict compliance of the SHC order and elimination of all stray dogs through effective drive.
