KARACHI:National Command and Operation Centre said on Tuesday that 48 more coronavirus patients had died overnight in the country, raising the country-wide death toll from the virus to 7,744 since the outbreak of the disease in February 2020 while 2,954 new cases surfaced.
According to National Command and Operation Centre data, a total of 379,883 people have been tested positive for the coronavirus disease in the country since its outbreak in February 2020, out of which 164,651 cases were in Sindh, 115,138 in Punjab, 16,846 in Balochistan, 44,932 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 25,719 in Islamabad, 4,558 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 6,203 in Azad Kashmir.
However, 331,760 patients have recovered from the disease so far. There is continuous rise in the coronavirus cases and deaths across the country.
