KARACHI: In an effort to promote healthy lifestyles and combat societal ills, 60 male and female athletes from the Pakistan Road Runners Club (PRR) are set to participate in the 5th Commissioner Karachi Marathon 2024 under the special instructions of Jamal Said, the founder and president PRR Club.
According to PRR information on Wednesday, Chief Captain of Pakistan, Muhammad Ahmed, announced that the athletes have undergone rigorous preparations, following their commendable performances in marathon races across various cities in the country.
Ahmed expressed confidence in the abilities of the participating athletes, anticipating their success in the upcoming event. Highlighting the significance of sports in fostering well-being, he underscored the potential of marathon races in steering the new generation away from detrimental influences such as drug addiction.
The 5th Commissioner Karachi Marathon 2024 is scheduled to take place on March 8 at Seaview Karachi. The event promises to not only showcase the athletic prowess of participants but also serve as a platform for promoting a healthier lifestyle among the youth.
