74 development projects reflected in PSDP: CM Balochistan

Awaran: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has said that 74 new and ongoing development projects, including 15 schemes of road sector, 59 schemes of building sector and 23 water supply schemes, had been reflected in the PSDP for the current fiscal year for the development of Awaran.

These views were expressed by him while chairing a meeting held here on Friday. He said, “We are prioritizing people’s welfare projects”, adding, “Our complete focus is on the progress and development of Awaran district”.

Giving briefing about the issues relating to administrative affairs, education, damages caused by recent flood and overall law and order situation in Awaran, Deputy Commissioner, Awaran said apart from restoring highways and link roads damaged by rain and flood, survey was being conducted to for assessment of damages, so that the affectees could accordingly be compensated, adding that recent flood devastated thousands of houses in Awaran.

Directing the concerned authorities to expedite relief operations in the affected areas of the district, Chief Minister Balochistan issued directions to the concerned authorities to get all out of order transformer repaired so that supply of electricity could be ensured.

On the occasion Provincial Advisor, Rasheed Baloch, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Inspector General of Police, Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Planning and Development Department, Government of Balochistan, Hafiz Abdul Basit and others were also present.

Separately, Chief Minister Balochistan laid the foundation stone of eight-kilometer-black-top road from main road to Buzdad, inaugurated Shaheed Adam Jan Library, laid the foundation stones of four Rural Health Centers, construction of 117 shelter less schools in Awaran and Educational Complex, Awaran.
