8 Pickets Established in Islamabad for Traffic Management, To Stop Lane Violations by Bikers

The city’s traffic police have launched a strict campaign against motorcyclists starting today, establishing eight new pickets to tackle the life-threatening issue of lane violations and wrong-way driving, which poses a significant threat to all road users.

Authorities have described the failure of riders to adhere to lane discipline as a dangerous practice that is also a major obstacle to the smooth flow of traffic in the capital.

Under the new stringent measures, riders have been strictly instructed to follow traffic laws. Authorities have warned that legal action will be taken for not adhering to lane discipline or driving against the flow of traffic.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Islamabad Traffic Police to maintain the orderly flow of vehicles and provide complete facilities to citizens. To ensure the success of the campaign, citizens have been requested to cooperate with law enforcement agencies.

For any traffic-related updates or to report issues, the public can contact the traffic helpline 1915 or Pukar service 15.
