IGP visits Sukkur, inaugurates Model Police Station

During the meeting, DIG Sukkur briefed the IGP Sindh on preventive measures against crimes such as kidnapping for ransom and honey traps. He also provided a detailed annual performance report on tribal conflicts, ongoing operations against criminals in the kacha areas, and other serious crimes.

Mr Memon instructed the officials that investigations into cases involving police martyrs be made more effective and that these cases be brought to a successful conclusion by arresting the involved criminals. He praised the performance of DIG Sukkur and his team.

Later, he visited the newly established Model Police Station in Abad, where he inaugurated it and inspected its various sections. The IGP met with the staff and issued necessary instructions for effective and coordinated policing. SSP Sukkur gave a detailed briefing on the establishment and objectives of the Model Police Station Abad.

IGP Sindh, while inaugurating the Model Police Station Abad, stated that the purpose of the model police station was to prioritize solving citizens’ problems, equip policing with modern facilities, and genuinely make the police more public-friendly and supportive.

IG Sindh also met with the Eagle Squad personnel on duty and issued instructions regarding the efficient performance of their duties. SSP Sukkur presented a commemorative shield to IG Sindh, and the children of the police martyrs presented him with a bouquet of flowers at the event.
