Washington: Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, emphasized the country’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with the United States, expressing a desire to enhance cooperation across various sectors. This statement came during a meeting with U.S. Congressmen Thomas Richard Suozzi and Jack Bergman in Washington.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Naqvi and the Congressmen discussed several issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and the situation in Afghanistan. Both parties agreed on the importance of promoting stronger ties between Pakistan and the U.S.
Naqvi extended an invitation to the U.S. Congressmen to visit Pakistan, suggesting that such visits could further bolster the relationship between the two nations. Congressman Suozzi, a Democrat, expressed his commitment to strengthening ties with Pakistan and indicated his intentions to visit the country soon.
The meeting also concluded with a decision to hold a Pakistan Caucus Conference in Washington on April 30.
