Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, three new cases of a mysterious illness have surfaced in the Badhaal area of Rajouri district, prompting relatives to transfer the affected individuals to hospitals for treatment.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Aijaz Ahmad, a 25-year-old resident, exhibited symptoms of the unknown ailment on Tuesday. He was initially treated at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and later referred to Chandigarh for further care.
Today, two additional cases with similar symptoms were reported in the same area. Both patients are also being shifted to hospitals for treatment.
Notably, 17 individuals have succumbed to this mysterious illness over the past 50 days, with authorities still unable to determine the cause of the deaths.
Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Budhal, Javed Iqbal Choudhary, expressed frustration over the delay in arranging swift medical evacuation. Villagers have criticized the authorities for their indifference, accusing them of neglecting the dire healthcare needs of Badhaal despite repeated tragedies.
The incidents have amplified calls for improved medical infrastructure and prompt action in remote areas like Badhaal to prevent further loss of lives.
