Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar, emphasized the urgent need for the international community to reject and prevent any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians or annex their land.
During informal consultations in New York, Iftikhar highlighted the ongoing human tragedy in Gaza and the West Bank, urging decisive international intervention.
The discussions centered around the upcoming high-level international conference aimed at achieving a peaceful settlement of the Question of Palestine through a two-state solution.
Iftikhar called on the global community to support the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab Group in implementing the Gaza Reconstruction Plan.
