A significant meeting was held regarding the transfer of land to the National Highway Authority and the payment of compensation to landowners for the construction of the Sukkur to Hyderabad Motorway (M6). Commissioner of Shaheed Benazirabad Division, Nadeem Ahmed Abro, announced that the Revenue Department is ready for the land transfer, and the National Highway Authority can commence work immediately if desired.
In the meeting, Zubair Ahmed, the General Manager of National Highway Motorway M6, informed that the Islamic Development Bank of Azerbaijan has announced funding for the motorway’s construction, provided all legal formalities are completed. Furthermore, a recovery of 945 million rupees has been handed over to the Sindh government by NAB in Matiari and Naushahro Feroze districts.
Deputy Commissioner of Shaheed Benazirabad, Shehryar Gul Memon, stated that Section 4 has been issued for the motorway construction, and Section 6 will be issued soon, with 1,380 acres of land allocated. Deputy Commissioner of Naushahro Feroze, Arsalan Saleem, demanded an increase in land compensation rates. Various government officials attended the meeting.
