An important meeting regarding transport issues was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Karachi, Syed Hasan Naqvi. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Transport, DIG Traffic, Secretary RTA, and SSPs.
Detailed discussions were held on traffic issues, and suggestions for their resolution were presented. The Commissioner of Karachi instructed to impose further restrictions on the entry routes of Qingqi rickshaws into the city.
The Commissioner proposed meeting with the owners of unfit buses, giving them a onemonth timeframe to make the buses suitable for public use. He also issued instructions for the complete removal of the Lea Market bus stand.
The Commissioner decided to visit the Zulfiqarabad terminal and emphasized the need for a permanent solution to the issue. He also gave instructions for the construction of new bus stops.
Instructions were given to take action against the illegal activities of Qingqi rickshaws in Korangi. The SSP Traffic was ordered to file FIRs against Qingqi rickshaws.
