Deputy Commissioner Thatta visits food warehouse, takes detailed review of wheat procurement record

Deputy Commissioner Thatta, Sarmad Ali Bhagat, has issued a strict warning against any negligence or irregularity in the ongoing wheat procurement campaign, emphasizing that the district administration will not tolerate such shortcomings.

Mr. Bhagat recently conducted a detailed inspection of the Food Department’s warehouse, where he thoroughly reviewed the existing wheat stock, procurement procedures, and relevant documents.

During his visit, relevant officers briefed the administrator about the progress achieved in the procurement campaign.

The Deputy Commissioner subsequently instructed that the entire wheat procurement process should be conducted with complete transparency, and emphasized that all administrative procedures should be made more efficient and effective.

He further directed officers to expedite procurement operations to ensure that the designated targets are met within the stipulated time.

Mr. Bhagat reiterated that, in accordance with the directives of the Sindh government, the district administration’s foremost priority is to facilitate farmers and ensure a fair and transparent wheat procurement system.

He concluded by emphasizing that any deviation from these principles or instances of oversight would be met with strict action.
