Excise Department Recovers Rs. 1.3 Million in Token Tax Crackdown

Islamabad Excise Department conducted an extensive operation, recovering over Rs. 1.3 million in unpaid token tax. Under the direction of Director Excise, Bilal Azam, officials established checkpoints at five locations throughout the capital. The operation resulted in 113 vehicle challans for various infractions.

Authorities targeted vehicles with black-tinted windows and illegal number plates, issuing substantial penalties. Azam affirmed the department’s commitment to full token tax collection and vowed stringent measures against violations.

“Zero tolerance will be shown for vehicles displaying unauthorized tinting or license plates,” he stated. The public is advised to ensure their vehicles comply with regulations regarding license plates.
