Islamabad Police Cracks Down On Traffic Violations

Islamabad police have launched a strict crackdown on traffic infringements under the direction of Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aiming to improve traffic flow and enhance public safety. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (r) Syed Zeeshan Haider has stationed extra officers at major thoroughfares and critical intersections. Motorcycles and automobiles violating traffic regulations will be seized and held at area police stations.

Overloaded vehicles and loader rickshaws are now prohibited within the city. The CTO warned of stern legal repercussions for offenses like running red lights, speeding, lane transgressions, and unlawful parking. He urged residents to comply with traffic rules to support the police in managing traffic movement and preventing accidents.

Drone cameras will monitor traffic conditions and identify violations. Captain (r) Zeeshan Haider emphasized impartial enforcement of regulations. The Traffic Education Unit will continue its public awareness efforts on main roads, and senior officials will be on-site to supervise traffic management.
