Quetta Authorities Launch Crackdown on Encroachments; 47 detained

Quetta district officials today launched a significant operation against encroachments on Joint Road and the Nawa Killi bypass, resulting in the demolition of temporary shelters, seizure of pushcarts and merchandise, and closure of 10 commercial establishments.

According to district spokesperson, roadside pushcarts, illicit stalls, and makeshift structures obstructing roads were remove to restore traffic flow, while 47 people involved in the encroachments were apprehended during the operation. A parallel operation on the Nawa Killi bypass also targeted unauthorized constructions. The spokesperson confirmed the sealing of 10 businesses and the detention of 47 individuals during the enforcement drive.
