A Mastung resident, Nisar Ahmed, is facing death threats after marrying a woman of his own choice and is pleading with authorities for protection.
At a press conference with his wife on Sunday, Ahmed explained he legally wed Amina Bibi on July 30, 2025. However, Bibi’s father, Qadir Bakhsh Shalani, and other family members are allegedly threatening his life and have filed a false kidnapping report. Ahmed holds Shalani responsible should any harm come to him or his wife.
Ahmed appealed to senior officials in the provincial government, law enforcement, and human rights groups for intervention and security so he and his wife can live peacefully.
