Land Route for Pilgrims Temporarily Closed Due to Security Reasons – Sindh Governor

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori said that the pilgrims’ route has been temporarily closed due to security concerns, emphasizing that there is no intention to make this closure permanent. He made this announcement during a meeting with Allama Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi at the office of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan in Karachi. He said that the pilgrims’ issue will be resolved through consultation, and all pilgrims will reach Arbaeen. He said that steps have been taken to send the pilgrims present at the Taftan border to Iran.

After the meeting, Governor Tessori and Allama Rizvi addressed the press. Tessori expressed respect for the sentiments of the pilgrims and solidarity with them. A committee has been formed to deal with the challenges of air travel and other logistics.

Speaking to reporters, Allama Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi appreciated Governor Tessori’s efforts in resolving the situation. Senior MQM Pakistan leader Anis Kaim Khani and other officials were also present on the occasion.
