Traffic originating from Lahore and Rawat is being redirected to Islamabad through Rawalpindi. Vehicles heading from Islamabad towards Lahore or Rawat are advised to use Kahuta Road from Kak Pul, then turn right at Chakiyan towards GT Road.
The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) anticipates increased traffic volume and potential holdups due to these diversions. Officers will be stationed at strategic locations to manage the flow of vehicles. The ITP recommends adding 20 minutes to anticipated travel times.
