Technical glitch in Rawalpindi driving license branches’ fee payment system, citizens face difficulties

An increase has been observed in the number of citizens applying for driving licenses in Rawalpindi, however, citizens are facing temporary difficulty due to a technical issue in the fee payment system.

However, in the last three days, more than 21,500 individuals have been provided with licensing services. However, a technical fault in the fee payment system has created challenges for applicants, causing temporary disruptions.

Fifteen licensing centers, including the Traffic Headquarters, are working diligently to cater to the rush of applicants. The Traffic Headquarters Rawalpindi is ensuring 24-hour uninterrupted services to meet the growing demand. Driving tests are being conducted at multiple locations, including Gujar Khan, Kahuta, and Taxila, as reported by the licensing in-charge.

To further facilitate the process, a police mobile service van is actively providing licensing services. Additionally, citizens are using an online portal to access services from their homes. Despite the temporary difficulties caused by the issue in the fee system, efforts are underway to resolve the problem promptly.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi, Farhan Aslam, emphasized the commitment to providing licensing facilities with integrity and respect. He stated that every Pakistani citizen with a national identity card is eligible for licensing services. According to CTO Aslam, the continuous issuance of motorcycle driving licenses within the same day is also being prioritized.
